9 Lives of
A series of hand-pulled screen prints — 50x70 cm each — celebrating the myth of a cat's nine lives. Printed on 270gsm recycled Colorset Storm paper, the surface holds both pigment and memory. Each piece stands as a quiet nod to survival, chance, and the cycles we slip through.
2024Process
The process began with a digital composition, a quiet sketch turned blueprint. From there, the forms were transferred to screen and printed by hand in the studio, layering precision with imperfection.
The yellow is mixed by eye, not formula, a vivid acrylic blend that pulses against the dark paper. It's more vibration than colour, more signal than decoration.
There are three blueprints, each with their own palette shift. No two are alike. Some misaligned on purpose. Some by accident. That's part of the point — each print holds its own rhythm, its own story.
